Earth Day Cleanup Success!

Board member, Andrew Breiter-Wu happy to contribute to the Martin effort.

A small but committed group of residents joined SLCT board members on April 27th to clean Land Trust properties to celebrate Earth Day. This annual Earth Day Cleanup began at the Edna Martin Wildlife Refuge and was supported by our partners the Runnins River Watershed Alliance, the Town of Seekonk, and the Seekonk Boy and Girl Scout Troops.

An amazing 17 bags of trash were collected on the Edna Martin property around Burrs Pond, and at other Land Trust properties across Seekonk including Cushing Conservation Area, Read Street, Davis Street, Chestnut Street and Tower Road. The Land Trust leads this annual event to promote its mission of conservation, stewardship and environmental awareness throughout Seekonk. Thanks to all who lent two hands!!!
