Annual Nature Photo Contest

Burrs Pond

It’s here! The 5th Annual Seekonk Nature Photo Contest held in partnership with the Seekonk Public Library is open to submit your Seekonk nature photos between September 3rd through the 23rd. The Nature Photography Contest highlights Seekonk’s preserved spaces and the town’s natural beauty.

The Contest is open to photographers of all ages, with categories for children, teens, and adults. Amateurs and professionals alike are welcome. Photos must feature images of wildlife, plants, natural landscapes, weather, or any other aspect of nature (no pets or portraits). Photos must be taken at one of the following public spaces:

Allen Avenue Reserve
Caratunk Wildlife Refuge
Cushing Conservation Area
Edna Martin Wildlife Refuge
Gammino Pond Conservation Area
Runnins River Trail
Seekonk Meadows
(See our Lands page for information about these properties.)

For contest details and entry go to seekonkpl.org/photo. Photos must be submitted electronically. Selected nature and wildlife photos will be uploaded to a public Flickr gallery creating a tour of the preserved spaces in town. Guest judges and public voting will determine the winners and a reception is planned for November. So, get outside, enjoy a walk, and take some pictures!
